The Sony CDP-CE375, released around 2001, is a 5-disc carousel-style CD changer. It is often favored for its "Play 1, Exchange 4" capability, which allows you to swap out four discs while the fifth continues to play.

Compared to the CDP-CX235 jukebox model, this is a much more compact unit designed for standard shelving, though it lacks the massive 200-disc storage of the MegaStorage series.

New belts have been installed to play like new.

1. Audio Performance & Internal Tech

  • D/A Converter: Features Sony's Hybrid Pulse DAC, designed to minimize zero-cross distortion for cleaner audio reproduction.

  • Digital Servo Control: Automatically maintains laser focus and tracking, which is especially helpful for playing slightly worn or older discs.

  • Format Support: Plays standard Audio CDs as well as CD-R and CD-RW discs.

  • Frequency Response: $2$ Hz to $20$ kHz ($\pm 0.5$ dB).

  • Signal-to-Noise Ratio: 102 dB, offering a very low noise floor for high-fidelity listening.

2. Connectivity (I/O)

  • Analog Output: 1 set of Stereo RCA jacks.

  • Digital Output: 1 Optical (Toslink) output. This is excellent if you want to bypass the internal DAC and use the superior processing in your Yamaha RX-V373.

  • Headphone Jack: Front-panel 1/4" ($6.35$ mm) jack.

  • Variable Output: The output level (both line-out and headphone) can be adjusted by up to 20 dB using the remote control.

3. Operational Features

  • Jog Dial: Located on the front panel for "Direct Access" track selection—simply spin it to scroll through tracks quickly.

  • 32-Step Programming: You can program a custom playback order for up to 32 tracks across all five discs.

  • Peak Search: Scans the disc to find the loudest passage, helping you set levels if you're recording the output to a cassette deck like your Sony TC-WE305.

  • Music Calendar: A 20-track visual display on the front panel that shows which tracks are available on the current disc.
